The Flat Fall Jig is a versatile lure, which can be fished a couple of different and highly effective ways. To use, drop the jig down to the bottom, crank it up to 20’ to 35' off the bottom then free spool your reel, allowing the jig to sink back to the bottom. Keep repeating this process until bit. A second proven technique is cast the Flat Fall and let it sink while free spooling, wait for the bite, then jerk and repeat. These jigs have been proven themselves absolutely deadly on the Southern California Bluefin fishery the last few years when fished in this manner.The center-balanced Flat Fall Jig sinks with a wobbling action in a horizontal attitude, staying in the strike zone longer than traditional knife-style butterfly jigs.
