Deep Diver

The Deep Diver is a fantastic choice for targeting Mako, Thresher and other game sharks. We use an 11" diving plug, replace the treble hooks with stainless steel Mustad hooks and attach them with ball bearing swivels to the lure body. We then rig it with a 49-strand stainless steel cable leader and finish the main line connection off with a loop protector and 350# Rosco swivel. Depending on the diameter of your main line, the Deep Diver will reach depths of 30 feet. Our charter boats are well regarded for their shark catching abilities and this is one of our "go to rigs." The Deep Diver performs best when trolled at 2 to 5 knots. Each Deep Diver comes in a plastic and nylon pouch with a top Velcro enclosure.
